Colorado Health Insurance Companies
« on: January 03, 2022, 08:59:58 PM »
Looking to get a Marketplace health insurance plan to fill a 1-2 month gap between an inter-state move and a new job. Catastrophic is all I need for now. I heard a rumor that the actual insurer you go with can be very important, even though all insurers on the Marketplace are ACA-accredited. Which are the best insurers in Colorado, and perhaps more importantly, which are the ones to avoid at all costs?

I'm on the ACA in Colorado and have had Friday Health Plans, they seemed unorganized and the customer service was not great, but they did pay for my physical with no issues.

I now have Kaiser and their customer service has been much better and I feel like their coverage is much better as well.

I don't have much other information for you, but wanted to at least share what I know.  I have been on each of those plans for one year each.

Good luck to you!

Thank you @IslandFiGirl ! Your message came at the perfect time. I was about to click 'yes' to one of two similar policies at Bright Healthcare or Kaiser, and was leaning towards Kaiser but not sure if it was worth $40 more. I chose Kaiser. Thanks for being the "sign"!

Glad I could help...I was in the same position and I decided it was worth the extra money.  :)

I had Kaiser for 14 years in California and was quite pleased with them.
