Title: Retiring by 31 - How to invest $500,000?
Post by: Crobert on February 08, 2019, 03:35:33 AM
Hey community,

My Name is Robert and here a couple of informations about me. I am 31 years old, I live in Germany, I am married and I have two wonderful sons. Right now my wife and I really consider retiring by this summer. Our daily life just consists of working (she is a nurse, I work as an IT-Consultant at a major German insurance company), and sleeping. There is just a little time left for us and our kids.

The plan we are thinking about right now is selling our apartment near Munich and move to my home country which is Croatia. This would leave as with about $ 500,000 in cash and two apartments in Munich, which pay off on their own. What investing plan would you consider as an option and is there any recommendation for certain funds?

In Croatia (all of my family lives there as well) we own a pretty decent house and the average money we would need to live nicely is about $ 1,000 a month.

Any advice is appreciated.

Thank you

Robert
