I know this is a first world country problem, but the projector we use to watch movies and hulu in our finished basement broke. It's a 10 year old projector and spare parts are no longer available for it. It's our only 'TV'.
MMM has made me question if we need to replace it. We do use it for movie nights and to watch TV events with friends (Oscars, Grammys, sports, etc..). I like to think that it easily pays for itself since we don't have to pay $20 to go to the movies or bars to watch sporting events, etc... A new projector costs $300. I figure it would last 5 years before we'd have to replace the $50 bulb.
The only debt we have is our mortgage, we max out 401K's, have a taxable Vanguard, incoming earning rental property, bike to work, no cable TV, Republic wireless phones etc...
I'm being too cheap and should just get one, right? We just had to replace our 30 year old furnace, so I guess I am still a bit humbled by that large expense (paid cash though, woo-hoo)
