Your images still aren't showing up.

What size wheels does the bike have? How much coverage do you want? Do you ride the bike in the snow?

What do the dropouts where the wheels attach to the frame and fork look like? There should be tiny threaded screw holes nearby for attaching fender stays or a rack. You probably have them in the back, but it's common for some bikes to be missing the front ones. That restricts the types of front fenders you can get. The pics on this page should make it clear what you're looking for: http://phred.org/~alex/bikes/quick-release-fenders.html

The best fenders generally are full coverage, that hug the tire tightly for the entire top half, like these: http://americancycleandfitness.com/product/sks-b53-commuter-ii-164282-1.htm?variations=51215&gclid=CPrDgNfm77wCFRRufgodNSQABg They usually come in a set for front and back, but the open question is whether you'd be able to mount the front one.

I ride an old POS mountain bike with no eyelets on the front.  I used zip ties to secure my front fender to the bottom of my fork.  It's not the greatest, but they stay in place and I think I've only broken one in about 4 months.  (and of course I carry extras with me so I can replace a broken one in 5 seconds)  So all is not lost if you have no front eyelets.

a bike shop. that's what they're for, especially since you have so many questions.

SKS Dashblade would work well for your size bike.

This is the set I got for my bike: http://amzn.to/T5gyE2
They work well enough, and the price is right. The installation was straightforward, but adjusting it to make it align perfectly is a bit of a pain, I think that's always the case with fenders...

You'd pick the right size for your bike depending on if you have a road bike, hybrid or mountain bike.

i liked the SKS, thanks for the recommendation.
those wraparound ones might be better though and can't beat the price, thought i'd have to spend more than that.
muchas gracias
