Republic Wireless Whatsapp Question

I was going to make the switch to Republic Wireless if you are able to use the app whatsapp.  Does anyone know if you can have that app, what phone to get and what plan?  Thanks for any input

All plans on RW have unlimited messaging.  Why do you need/want to use whatsapp?

Yes, you can use WhatsApp on RW! It works fine whether the phone is on WiFi or 3G/4G.

I've been trying to sign up and I keep getting a message saying that my number isn't a valid mobile number. From researching this issue I found that I needed to contact Whatsapp and ask them to add my number as a mobile so I can complete the sign up process. Well, it's been about a month and still no reply from them.
