I got an email from Republic (now owned by Dish apparently) stating that I would be losing my cell service and my phone number if I don't upgrade my MyChoice 4.0 plan to one of their new 5.0 offerings by the end of my billing period, which is about 3 weeks away.  I looked at their website help center and it states that I don't have to upgrade to 5.0 (link below).  Called customer service and was told that yes I do have to upgrade.   The rep had a very thick accent and English was definitely a distant second language, so I was having a lot of trouble understanding and communicating with her.  It doesn't make sense to me that Customer Service is telling me something that directly contradicts what their website says.

Anyone else dealing with this issue?  I like the plan I have, no desire to switch before absolutely necessary.

I still have RW, I'm not really sure where I stand re: version 4 or 5.
I was worried that I was going to have problems this summer but it kept working so I haven't changed, just kept paying the bill.
Have you tried reading about it on the RW online community? That used to be a nice feature, not sure if still so with Dish.
