Title: Replacing dishwasher-considerations?
Post by: MrsPB on July 15, 2017, 04:05:14 AM
Our dishwasher needs replacing (a dishwasher has value to us with two young children and two full time working parents), any advice or recommendations? We are happy to spend more for one that is more reliable and will last longer  but from what I've read so far, it seems like the price doesn't reflect that these days and many dishwashers have issues even within a year or two. Seems like Samsung has a bad rep overall. Any other things to consider? Noise is an issue as we have open plan living/dining area. Don't need a lot of cycle options as we pretty much only ever used the regular cycle on the previous one. We have a lot of iron in our water so we will likely get a stainless steel interior due to staining issues.

Get a late model Bosch. Not cheap but does a heck of a job. The one I bought comes with a 10 year warranty, but that might have been a special deal. Mine is also in an open plan area and it's completely fine for noise. I have a Super Silence Serie 6.

We love Miele, but Bosch is similar & the more economical choice.

+1 on Bosch .  4 kids and a spouse who doesn't rinse before placing in dishwasher.  Clean every time.

Thank you! We found a great deal on a Bosch!
