Even with the PC plugs, I like RoG. I mostly ignore them, yet enjoy the pretty graphs.

I've had some call my site "overloaded with ads and a blatant attempt to maximize revenue" while others question how it's possible that I can make anything off of it given the lack of advertising (the latter group probably have ad block plus installed like me). 

I do turn down private advertisers that want me to publish an article and link to their site, and similar types of "opportunities".  If I ever need some cash I can always turn up the sleaze factor...

No hard feelings - I actually like the free expense tracking and investment tracking they offer, and figure it could be helpful for a lot of folks.    It certainly saves me a bunch of time whether I need a quick look at recent transaction activity, or a full dump of all my investment holdings. 

My advertising account rep tries to get me to push other services, but I won't unless it's a product/service/retailer I know about and approve of.

Screw the money, he'd object to the new owners asking him to stay around for a three-year earnout.  I can only imagine his response when they'd ask him to tone down his commentary or endorse a few of their recommended products...

I read what Jim Wang and J.D. Roth write, but I no longer read Bargaineering or Get Rich Slowly.  It's the writer, not the blog.
