QuickBooks Self Employed for doordash side hustle

I am thinking of side hustling for the first time. Due to the pandemic a lot of people are ordering in food so I thought DoorDash might a good one to get started. I haven't done all the math etc. Just want to try for a few weeks before I decide if I want to continue or not. Having said that, how do I go about tracking mileage, pay, taxes etc.? If QuickBooks Self Employed a good one? Are there any cheaper alternatives? Please advise.

If you're just trying it out for a few weeks, a simple Excel spreadsheet should do the job.

You have any idea how many small businesses operate using a shoebox? It's a lot. So many that it's a joke in the accounting world. Add excel in there and you're doing pretty good.
