Eating the decorations from work.

Seriously. It started last year when one of the partners brought in a big pumpkin and a bunch of little ones as decorations. I smuggled them home after Halloween and made the big one into pumpkin and sausage pasties, and the small ones into stuffed pumpkins. I think I got four meals out my haul.

A bunch of pumpkins just popped up yesterday, so this weekend I'll have some fun.

We are the Halloween house in our neighborhood.  It takes about two days to get it all set up, then I answer the door and frighten children with big vampire teeth.  Then I give them full size candy bars to make up for it.

I have little kids so they enjoy trick or treating. My favourite part is in the middle when we take a break and plop down on a random lawn for some candy. My five year old was generous and gave me a bag of cheezies (its a superior* cheese based snack only found in Canada). She gets to pick my treat, she thinks its awesome to be in charge of sharing and I think its awesome that I get candy as an adult.

*Americans who move to Canada make this claim. My sample size was 2 former Americans.

Turning out the lights and pretending I'm not home.  I guess I'm kind of like Halloween's version of Ebenezer Scrooge.
