I used to work OT but not much anymore.  I am salaried, so I don't get paid OT.  When I was younger and trying to advance in my career and get bigger pay raises and bonuses, I put in the OT.  Now I am just a few months from FIRE so I no longer stay late or take work home.  I am trying to remain professional and finish out in a way that I can be proud of, but anymore, it is just about giving them 40 good hours a week and not a minute more.

Some people are low energy types and cant handle more than 40 hours.  I need around 60 to be happy.  Whether those hours are at work or building sweat equity depends mostly on the season for me.

If I were a renter, I'd spend them all at work.
