Death of stretch IRA?
« on: September 08, 2016, 06:15:57 AM »
I've heard a lot of press recently about possibly the death of the stretch IRA. How has this impacted your investing/distribution/allocation approach?

not really concerned about it. why would how my money passes on be affected by the elimination of this.  my money may all go to charity. my kids will be smart and money savvy.

Last I heard, this was just part of the budget proposal and not likely to become law, just like certain other proposals have been in there for years (closing the backdoor Roth loophole, adding RMDs for Roth IRAs, and more). I'm not changing my behavior at all right now, and will be unlikely to do so if it ever does become likely to pass through Congress.
