pay rent with a credit card?

Does anyone know how to pay rent with a credit card?

I just sold my house and moved into an apartment. My rent is a big amount every month, and it would be cool to get reward points for paying it. My landlord doesn't take cards.

I know this has probably been discussed on here before. Anyone have a link?

You can almost always pay rent with a credit card for about 1% cost.

Step 1. Buy visa gift card with credit card for 1% purchase fee.

Step 2: load visa gift card onto a prepaid card. (Generally bluebird or serve at Walmart or redbird at target.)

Step 3:  write an echeck from your prepaid card account for your rent or simply withdraw the money from your prepaid card account to your attached conventional checking account and pay your rent as you always have.
