7 years ago, I stopped eating dairy. Best choice, ever. Julie has it right.
Also, you need magnesium to process calcium. Here's a list of magnesium rich foods:
dark leafy greens, nuts, seeds, fish, beans, whole grains, avocados, yogurt, bananas, dried fruit, dark chocolate
Cool thing is, there is a lot of crossover between the calcium and magnesium lists.
We have been eating like this for a long time. Our kids eat like this and they pass their dental and well-child exams with flying colors. Please know, YOU DO NOT NEED DAIRY IN YOUR DIET. I'm not demonizing it, just passing along information that runs counter to what we were told as kids.
