time to military buy-back
« on: May 11, 2020, 03:51:25 PM »
Asking any feds here that have bought-back their military time. Does it really take 3-4 months for HR to get back to you on what the amount will be once you've gotten and sent in your estimated earning from DFAS? I missed my 3-yr interest-free window, but I would like to get it paid off asap if it is reasonable. Thanks!

Thanks! That is good to know, that would give me a little more time in case I have to resubmit anything.

Mine (also many years ago and for a state pension not fed) took less then 2 months also. If you have to resubmit they should use the original date you first put in for it.

Not a buy-back, but another issue with pay and money...  I was told that when they submit a ticket, they have up to 90 days to respond.  Mine got "lost" multiple times, so you have to keep up on it.  If it's past 90 days, bring it up again.
