New Life, New Job, New Salary, New Budget Advice
« on: September 29, 2016, 05:08:17 AM »
Hi guys and dolls, I've been a fan of Mr. Money Mustache ever since I've was teaching in rural Japan three years ago.

I recently got hired at a Japanese engineering firm (first American engineer in this formerly Japanese exclusive company) and I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice on how to start a budget for minimalist living. Here is my information

- Single
- No Kids
- Living in the Dayton, Ohio area
- Salary is app. $41,000 (without per diem pay, overtime, and other benefits. Depending on how long my projects are and where they are located, I could be really making $48,000 ~ $55,000 a year)
- No college debt
- Old Honda Accord for car (not a cyclist, sorry MM)
- Own a small Japan related consulting business/ Japanese language school business online as a side project for side money. Annual income is about $1,000 after the first year (Online businesses rock!)

If you guys have any sort of advice, I'm all ears!
