So, I get the "opportunity" to work part time with my old company at around 15-20 hours a week. I just switched to starting my own business and have a commitment to that of around 38-42 hours a week.
I was thinking that my old company would pay a bit of my social security and medicare tax for me in addition to the added salary.
My husband said he will help with some of this, I'm thinking his part would be about 10 hours off my back. He is all for the additional money.
This doesn't impact my FIRE date (it's still almost 2 years out). But, it would provide a nice cushion financially. This also does not impact my self employment income at all.
What would you all do?
