I'll be doing quite a bit of traveling this summer, but cannot turn the main water off to my house in the basement because of the sprinkler system. I can turn water off in other places in the house.
Does anyone have any high tech advice for monitoring? Whatever it is, it can't depend on my wifi, which goes up and down often (a fix for another time). I had thought of a wifi camera but I've also read there are sensors I could put in the basement that would notify me. Anyone have a reliable solution? I could run a network cable from the basement to the router if I had to, but a cellular solution or something like that is preferred.
I appreciate any suggestions you can provide.
