We are looking to book a last minute road trip for the week after Christmas. We are in Ohio, and last year we drove to Naples, FL to stay with a relative and soak up some sun. We had a great time, but felt we overstayed our welcome a bit and would like to pay for accommodations this year. We have been looking at Groupon deals and are a bit overwhelmed. We would love to not drive 20+ hours again, but I'm finding the weather in the Outer Banks, and northern Florida to be a bit chilly for this time of year. Anybody got any good suggestions? We are looking for sun and cheap family activities, as we have a 3 year old. He absolutely loved the beach, and we like to visit playgrounds, kids' museums, ice cream shops, etc.
