Does anyone know of decent classes I can take with my partner to learn basic concepts of personal finance together such as compound interest, net worth calculations, etc?

I don't know how effective or thorough it is, but the guys at Choose FI have come out with a course, called FI 101.

Came here to recommend this exact thing. FI 101 is a pretty great all-around introduction to all the basics. I actually met with the local ChooseFI group just a couple weeks ago, and did a brief overview of this course. It looked amazing, and started with a lot of the general background/context which helps make all the concepts easier to understand than if they're presented in a vacuum.

I'm already FIREd but wanted to preview this course before recommending it to others. My issue is that you are forced to create a login to their community forum before you get to view the first video (the first teaching video with actual content) - I think others might be turned off by this. I am.

Use a fake email address. I have one that I use only for things like this.
