I recently signed up with Ptel and after taking a while to port my existing Skype number, today I rec'd the following email on why they are no longer porting the number:

Hello,

We are no longer processing ports for any numbers. Ptel Mobile and GIV Mobile will be discontinuing wireless service as of January 31,2016.

Best claim a refund by disputing the charge through your credit card if you paid the the $15 but couldn't use it.

Best claim a refund by disputing the charge through your credit card if you paid the the $15 but couldn't use it.

I've seen one other post on another site that they haven't been reimbursed, thankfully I got a full month out of the deal so I'm not going to lose as much as many folks :-(

I'm not going to begrudge a few extra bucks after the hundreds they've helped me save over the years. The crew working through the end to help port people out and field support calls need to be paid.
