Moving to 1 phone
« on: July 06, 2016, 12:10:36 PM »
I have an iPhone 6 thru work on the Verizon network.   Additionally i have maintained a personal samsung phone as until recently work discouraged using work phone for personal use.

Id like to keep both numbers.  What is beat way to be able to keep my other number but access calls or texts on my work iPhone?

Thanks

Sibley

I've heard there are phones/plans/something that can have 2 sim cards. But I'm phone incompetent, so.... grain of salt.

Assuming you're US based, you could port your personal number to Google Voice ($20 port in fee, but no recurring cost) then forward calls & texts to it to whatever phone you want. I don't think Google Voice handles MMS (multi-media) messages though (only 160 character SMS messages). Not sure if Apple's app store has a Google Voice app either (makes placing calls from your GV number much easier). I'm sure there are other forwarding services you could port your personal number to (probably a monthly fee for service, but perhaps you can find better quality service than GV).
