« on: January 08, 2013, 12:33:31 PM »

Can anyone recommend a mortgage prepayment calculator that can calculate multiple payments (lump sum and extra weekly payments).  and that can calculate acc-biweekly payments....

Thanks,

Not sure if it's the best one out there but I've used it in the past...

If you have an android device, 'Karl's mortgage calculator' is fantastic. It may be available for i products, too.

You can modify all sorts of parameters and expenses, and add in prepayments monthly, semi-annually, annually, one time, etc. You can also choose the start date for prepayments, such as start paying extra $500 monthly on Jan 1, 2015. It gives nice graphs and tables in various forms to see impact on interest/principal, payoff date, etc.

In the settings menu, you can choose bi weekly and accelerated bi weekly payments.

It comes in free or 'pro' (I think pro is just ad-free). I use it a lot, so I paid the $2 or whatever to get the pro version.

I like these.

http://mtgprofessor.com/CalculatorArticles/Mortgage%20Payoff%20Calculators.html

mtgprofessor.com has a lot of nice calculators that is who I use for basics, but if I need a full blown mortgage calculator, closing cost, monthly mortgage insurance, title insurance all cost, points ect  I like to use https://www.equifundmortgage.com but primarily I use mtgprofessor.

Are you always running loan calcs, do you invest in houses. I am just starting to, accept now I will wait and watch prices here in Florida
