I usually prep a lot the night before, since I don't like to fumble around in the morning, and I don't like to "take my time" either. I need to get to work and start the day!
-pack lunch (usually leftovers)
-wash bottles, pack diaper bag for baby
-pick out clothes for work
-set up coffee maker to brew at 0500
-even straighten my hair if I'm feeling really ambitious
In the morning, I wake up at 0500, when the coffee begins brewing.
-nurse baby
-brush teeth, wash face, a little makeup, and 5 min on my hair
-dress
-pour coffee
-grab lunch
Out the door at 0530, at work by 0550. I work until 1330/1430, so I have the afternoon for baby, workouts, groceries, reading news, and making dinner. Husband does the morning routine with baby between 0630-0730.
Pretty simple. Once I start hitting snooze I am in big trouble, so if I'm tempted, I set the alarm a little earlier the next day. Working out in the morning is muuuuch easier and a great way to be motivated for the day, but not an option right now. We stagger our work schedules to keep baby from having 10 hour days in daycare (usually 5-7 hours).
