Manufactured Spending Question Regarding Gift Cards
« on: August 26, 2015, 07:58:44 PM »
Hello Manufactured Spending Enthusiasts!

How many $500 gift cards should I buy at a time when I head to Walgreens, CVS, etc.?

My wife and I just signed up and were approved for 7 cards with an 8th pending.  We will need to manufacture $27,500 of spending, so approximately 55 gift cards over the next 3 months.

If you have experience with this, I'd love your input.  This is my first churn over of more than one card at a time and I want to do this right.

Thanks!

My recommendation would be not to jump head first like you just did. I've been churning credit cards for year but never attempted to do 30k of MS in 3 months.

Do you have a way of cashing out these gift cards?  You should have the end game in mind before you're stuck with 30k in Visa gift cards and credit card bills to pay.

To answer your question, CVS as far as I'm aware lets you buy 2k a day.

I have bought as much as $5000 at a time without difficulty mostly at rite aid.

As long as you have a way to liquidate you should be fine.

I applaud you jumping right in. It's the only way to get proficient fast.

My wife and I both have prepaid Target REDcards.  Together we can transfer $10,000 of gift cards per month into our bank account.

Thank you for the heads up on CVS.  There's one just a 3 mile bike ride from my house.

Great, there is a Rite Aid 8 miles from my house.

Haha, yeah, when I take on a new project, I like to practice once then scale quickly.  I signed up for MilesDividendMD and Richmond Saver's course at the start of the summer.  I like to get real experience as I learn, so I signed up for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card to practice processing credit cards through the REDcard account as the course progressed.  Now it's time to build a war chest of travel points to complement my growing investment accounts!!!
