no longer needed Ebike
« on: May 23, 2021, 07:58:18 PM »
I have a 2015 Izip ebike that I no longer use.  I have updated to newer technology.  There is nothing wrong with the bike, other than it is a hub drive with the battery above the motor. That is a ton of weight over the axle and I just don't like it. I have posted it on FB, but am getting inundated with the "is it still available" and "will you trade for a jetski that has not run in 15 years?"

I would be good with just donating it to someone who can really use an ebike, but does not have money.  It doesn't need to be something that I can tax write off. Just helping someone less fortunate. I would rather give it to someone deserving than dealing with FB or CL idiots.  How do I go about finding a good candidate?  I live in Raleigh NC.

You could donate it to literally any charity that accepts items. They'll either rehome it or sell it for a very good price, because bikes of all sorts are in INSANE demand right now.

Thanks folks.  I will check out https://raleighcommunitykickstand.org/ it looks interesting even without having an extra bike.
