looking for help to fire
« on: October 11, 2016, 06:27:18 PM »
Hello MMM community
I am thinking about pulling the trigger on early retirement but would like the feedback of a professional who has worked with early retirees to help them put together a workable plan. Does anyone know of a good advisor who is familiar with early retirement who i could trust to review my plan ?

If you would like the forum members to take a look at your plan, you can post it.  Mostly, we will be looking to see that your invested assets are at least 25 times your annual expenses.

Most "professionals" are after your money, not to help you with your plan. You are welcome to post a case study or questions and members of the forum can point you in the right direction. I would be shocked if 10% of people on this forum had any sort of financial adviser. This stuff really isn't that difficult.

If you are in Canada and really want to pay you could try these guys: http://boomerandecho.com/weekend-reading-early-retirement-backlash-edition/

Garth Turner at Greaterfool also seems to have great common sense but is a little over the top about the housing bubble (I do tend to agree with him, but real estate just like markets are cyclical so it's bound to happen). I think he does fee advice, you could try emailing him.

Not sure about the US.
