Not a direct answer to your question, but I'm not touching cryptocurrency. Bitcoin was pretty stable in value for several years, and the prices we're seeing lately are nothing more than a speculation bubble; a lot of people are going to lose a lot of money.

Coinbase is the easiest way.

Just an FYI but the founder of Litecoin sold all of his coins this week, might tell you something about the gains...

He also said he sold because of a conflict of interest since he still has quite a bit of influence over litecoin. He's still working on growing litecoin.

If you are planning on holding cryptocurrency I beg you not to leave your coins on Coinbase or any other hot exchange. Learn to create a paper wallet (or invest in a hardware wallet) and move your asset into cold storage.
