Leapforce - employee or contractor?
« on: December 10, 2017, 12:27:48 AM »
I'm looking at signing up with Leapforce, and the apply now page has the option of applying for an independent contractor position, or an employee position.  The job descriptions sound very similar, although the ic sounds more general, with varied tasks.  Anyone familiar with the employee position?  Is there any harm in applying for both?
Thank you!

Are you sure Leapforce is not a scam?  The whole webpage reads like a scam.

I read about it on the sidegigs thread, sounded good.  I'll go back and find the posts about and double check.

It's not a scam, I did it a few years back to earn some side money. It was very tedious for little pay. The number of jobs avaliable were widely varied. Since I wasn't doing it full time when I logged in there were never very many jobs avaliable. Everything is timed and some of the expectations seemed unreasonable. The amount of time it took and what I got out of it was just not worth it.  It may have changed but I was a contractor and received a 1099 at the end of the year.
