We're buying a place that we're going to be doing a significant kitchen reno. Our house will have a Galley kitchen and we're removing the cabinets, taking a wall down, and moving some of the applicances around. our new kitchen will have an 'L' shaped kitchen with an island. Buying new cabinets is expensive, and we've found a set of used, but quality-looking cabinets for sale at a house that they're also doing a kitchen reno for $600. I'm thinking we buy these, either DIY paint with a paint sprayer, or pay a cabinet shop to paint them for us. That is, assuming they have quality drawer pulls, soft-close doors, etc. The benefit here, is we could get cabinets made to match these for spaces these don't fit how we want, but use as many of these as we can. (in theory).
Has anyone done the same, and do you have any pointers for something like this?
