Hi all..
I found 2 tax documents in my Vanguard online account.
The first posted a couple of weeks back is a 1099-DIV and refers to one of my after tax holdings, listed as Total Stock MKT IDX ADM.. and the total dividends are $1339.75.. All well and good, but one of my holdings (Vanguard Vanguard Retirement fund) is missing.
So I call them up to be told that the second form would be posted later.. OK.. so today the second form appears.
This form is a "Tax information statement" and within it includes a 1099-DIV.
This form however not only refers to the missing account (Vanguard TGT RETR 2025 INVS)... It ALSO shows the dividend for the previous account, listed as VNGRD TTL MKT ADML.. But the dividend amount is 4228.25.. and none of the quarterly payments do not match what was shown on the previous form.
So are these two 1099-DIVs added to one another.. or is the second form a replacement for the first form???
Very confusing!!!
