+1 to treating it like any other negotiation.
I did this and got a compromise of working remotely with four days a month on site for "office hours" and a few meetings. However, this was a part of the negotiation long after I got the job and was working. Every time I was in the office someone would comment that it was really important that I was there and how much easier I was to work with when I was around. Considering I was less productive with all the interruptions, it was kind of irritating how much I had to defend my position. Each workplace is different of course, but I would expect to hear at least a little bit of that. If they want you on site then they will continually make sure that it is off the table for you. They chipped away at me for a long time adding a day here and a half day there until now when I work three full days and two half days on-site which, you'll notice, is every day.
