I got a call from a collections agency this morning, who sounded pretty scammy so I didn't give them any information and they didn't give me any informaiton beyond a "personal matter" has come into their office and they would be sending me a letter.

I then went to see what I could see on my credit report.  I haven't pulled any of my free reports for this year (or last year), so I went to annualcreditreport.com and asked for my credit report.  Two of the reporting agencies gave me responses that I can't access my report online and needed to send in a written request.

Is this a good indication that my identity has been stolen?  Please point me towards the thread with the excellent instructions on how to deal with this.

Thanks.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
