We've used this card & really like it. We no longer do, because we've transitioned from travel rewards to cash back and no annual fee. Each of you can open an account if you qualify -- open the first, get the bonus, then open the second. From a review site:
"The Barclaycard Arrival Plus® World Elite Mastercard® has a 70,000 miles sign-up bonus worth $735. You’ll need to spend $5,000 within the first 3 months to earn the bonus. In terms of value, this is one of the best credit card bonuses available. This card has an $89 annual fee. It’s waived for the first year. When you redeem towards qualified travel purchases, these 70K points will be worth $700. You get 5% in bonus miles back after redemption with this card. The bonus is effectively worth $735 in travel.
You’ll earn 2 miles per $1 spent on all purchases. With 5% miles back after redemption, you’re essentially getting back 2.1% in rewards. This makes it one of the best rewards cards for everyday use. There are no spending categories to worry about.
If you don’t plan on redeeming towards travel, this may not be the right fit for you. Redeeming towards cash back, gift cards, or merchandise will make your miles worth much less.
Unlike airline or hotel branded credit cards, you have the flexibility to redeem towards travel purchased on any airline, hotel, or travel website."
