Title: IT problem with MMM
Post by: Westoftown on December 01, 2014, 04:14:39 PM
There might be another thread for this but I havent found it,so here goes.....

At home I run MS Vista home premium.   Being a good mustachian, I have no intention of upgrading my PC as we usually just use it for web surfing, etc.
Using Explorer, FireFox, and Chrome I can't seem to get MMM to load.   When it does it is sporadic, mostly the little window keeps spinning like its loading.  Occasionally I can get it to work.   I don't seem to have this problem with any other websites, which is odd.

I have reloaded Java, reloaded the browser, tried a new browser, played around with the security settings - nothing has worked.

Is this just the man trying to keep me down or what!?  Is it an anti-MMM  conspiracy?   Mustachians, please help!

If you can get it to load sometimes and not other times, it's more likely a problem with MMM's site itself...not you.  If you want to check if that's the case, next time you can't get there, go to http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ and type in the URL.  It's basically the equivalent of using a "different computer" to check.

Do other sites load slowly or sporadically?

Do you have a separate computer you can use to check?

You could try PMing either of the posters for the items shown below.  Perusing the whole "Is this forum broken?" thread might also be worthwhile- good luck!

Probably the forum gets too much traffic and the server occasionally chokes. It's also fairly common for applications that heavily deal with sockets and multiple processes to occasionally choke for a few seconds - it's really hard to write such things perfectly!

Don't worry, not you.
