Title: is the 7% average after inflation?

If i put 7% into my compound interest calculator will i also need to account for inflation or is the 7% average with inflation already taken in (roughly)

If you are referring to broad US based index funds (S&P500, for example), yes.  However all dividends are also factored into this.
