In my area there are a bazillion international students, some as young as 16 who come here to study and learn English. Homestay hosts (often a family) are expected to provide a safe, wholesome non-smoking home with three meals a day usually and the opportunity to speak English and live 'with the locals'. We have a bunch of universities here so often they stay from Grade 10 through university although sometimes they rotate in and out.
Has anyone here any experience doing this? I have others locally I can talk to but wanted a Mustachian perspective.
Thx

Oh and I am in the Vancouver region and the full meal deal for the student is about $850 a month gross to me.
