I paid $10k in full for in this past March, with 106500 mileage on it. Now it has 121100 mileage. So about 14600 miles driven in 8 months.
Probably have made an additional $1000~ in repairs and maintenance on it. About $50 for synthetic oil every 2-3 months.
I'm single. But I don't want to be single forever, and want to have a family one day. So a 4 door is ideal.
I drive 18 miles to work, with lots of traffic.
I'm willing to have a lot of patience to find the right car with the lowest mileage and at a price that can't be beat.
Please help me find a car that will save me money, and be easy to maintain, with few repairs in the duration that I will have it.
Thanks guys.
I realize I may only get to sell this car for probably $9500, $500 less than what I bought it for. Maybe even less.

i'm intrigued by all the 2011 Nissan Leaf's that were on 3 year leases and all just expired / are entering the craigslist market for $8-10k but only have 30,000-40,000 miles on it.

i'd go hybrid or electric with that commute and knowing you sit in traffic alot b/c its houston. look at a prius or a leaf as mentioned above. if you really want an SUV a Ford Escape Hybrid is great. I get around 40-45 MPGs out of mine and the 08-2012's can be readily found for around the same price as youre expecting to sell yours for.
