Title: How to sell a Wedding Dress
Post by: Philociraptor on February 09, 2016, 12:29:35 PM
Wife would like to get rid of her wedding dress and would prefer to make a bit of money in the process. It isn't anything super fancy, I think it was priced at $600 + another $300 or so for accessories, fittings, and a "preservation kit" (these were pre-MMM days for us). Where have y'all found to be the best places to sell a wedding dress?

Wedding dresses can be very difficult to sell. I'd look for a consignment in your area that specializes in them.

Or donate and take the deduction.

I am active in wedding forums online with mine coming up this fall.  The most common sites for pre-owned wedding dresses seem to be:

www.preownedweddingdresses.com (http://www.preownedweddingdresses.com)
www.tradesy.com/weddings (http://www.tradesy.com/weddings)
www.oncewed.com/used-wedding-dresses (http://www.oncewed.com/used-wedding-dresses)

Your local Craigslist or consignment shops are also decent options.
