How to invest 50k?
« on: October 17, 2017, 01:02:01 PM »
Hi, I'm new to this forum and I will like to get some advise about how to invest 50k, Currently I'm working with EJ and we have a diversify portafolio (Bons,Sotck,IRA), but I'm not sure to keep given the money to them, they return is just ok. I was wondering if there is another firm (Vanguard), my idea is to have good return (5%) and at least 5 years in. I'm open to any suggestion in what will be the best way, I have currently that money in a savings account but I get something like 0.08 a year.

First thing I'd suggest -

1) Read the stock series http://jlcollinsnh.com/stock-series/

Once you're comfortable with picking your own funds, ditch EJ for Vanguard or another low-cost broker, and invest in the simple, low-cost portfolio you've chosen.

Thanks, really interesting article, Do you think I should ditch EJ? I see that a lot of people don't like EJ
