How to fix broken zipper pull on coat
« on: December 24, 2016, 05:40:57 AM »
Help me not buy a new coat! I'm sure this is fixable I just don't know how. Part of the zipper pull has broken off - wondering if I can superglue *something* to it? Looking for a fix that doesn't require me to spend money!

You might be able to thread a paperclip through it if there's still some sort of looped/enclosed metal to loop through. you might be able to get a new zipper (just the moving part), remove whatever keeps it from falling off at the top, put the new zipper on, and sew some thread around the top to keep it from falling off. Depending on the cost of the coat it might be worth paying a tailor to replace the zipper.

You can take it to any dry cleaners or alteration person and they can either fix the zipper or replace it for you.

I had success with a zipper repair kit (http://amazon.com/ZRK-ENTERPRISES-100-Zipper-Outdoor/dp/B003W19WJ4), if $10 is not too much money.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
