Title: How to cut down on driving expenses
Post by: divsnowball on January 20, 2015, 04:23:42 PM
Im forced to drive hundreds of miles per week at work (Im compensated at 56 cents a mile)

I generally commute about 100 miles to a hotel where I stay for the week and commute 5 miles or so to work.

Im working on getting a more fuel efficient car, and I would like to bike the 5 miles or so each way, however I dont know if I could charge mileage for those miles bikes rather than driven)

I definitely plan to bring a bike when Im here during the summer, but I'm just fishing for some other ideas as to cutting down on expenses when I am forced to drive pretty far each week

Usually travel expenses are reimbursed at a per-mile rate, without specifying the mode of travel.
