How Much Should Canceled Extended Warranty Change My Payoff?
« on: February 27, 2018, 01:27:06 PM »
Before cancelation, I had 48 months left at 6.64% interest with a $10,823.27 payoff. Refund was $1,220.

This should FINALLY get me from being underwater, I'm just looking to see by how much.

It's been a while and noone has replied. You need to ask your (this is about a lease?) lease company about this.

Report back, this might be good information for others!

It's a lien. And they haven't gotten the refund yet. Was trying to get some insight so I know what to expect. Might be a few weeks.

Maybe you need to ask this another way.
I don't know what your original deal is.
You bought a car? And an Extended warranty? How much did you pay for the extended Warranty?
How long was the original contract?
Did you get 2/6th use of the extended warranty>
Two years of a 6 year warranty?
That would be a 1/3 use and 2/3 unused.
Should you get 2/3 back?  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I put the amount I'm getting back in the OP.

So, you are asking is $1,220 enough?
Ok, now I think you paid over $10,000 for an extended warranty on a car.
Is that what you did?

Huh? No, when I initially financed the car, I opted to get an extended warranty. I recently canceled it, and they're going to refunding the remaining warranty ($1,220) on my loan. Basically, it'll take $1,220 off of what I owe. I think. I'm not sure if that's how it'd work.

Did you ever see a cost for the extended warranty?
Ideally you would just pay for the time you used the warranty.
Warranty time used / total warranty period = dollars returned / total warranty cost
But, I doubt they will give you all of that.
Sorry, I don't have a clue what you will get back.
But, I think I understand what you're asking, :-)
