$710/yr
$200k replacement cost in Central FL.

Includes hurricane/wind damage and "catastrophic ground cover collapse", which the insurance agent said any sinkhole issues would basically fall under that definition.

Is the house itself worth 800K or is it the land + house that appraised for 800K? It's highly unlikely your policy includes any coverage to replace the land. What's the level of coverage for the structure at that premium?

My first year of condo ownership is nearly up and recently got a letter from the Insurance provider, they will be renewing it at $30 lower cost. I was expecting best case scenario it didn't go up at all. Perhaps our credit profiles and the fact we didn't make a claim triggered their algorithm to off a lower premium in hopes of retaining us.

UK here about 50 miles north of London and wow.... US home insurance looks pricey. I just renewed ours for the year it came to a measly total of £87! based on £250k rebuild cost.

$960/year for 1200 sq ft log cabin. Includes 17 acres of property and three outbuildings, including one very, very nice shed that has an upstairs (literally no idea why the previous owners put this in, but whatever). Purchase price was $245k in 2015.

We are with Progressive. Unfortunately, because we have a log home, our insurance options are very limited. Geico would not insure us and neither would Farm Bureau, despite us being zoned agriculture. They all consider log homes to be too high of a fire risk. Progressive has yet to raise our rates in the two years we've been with them.

Just got a quote with Amica, it is very high, almost 60% higher than what I'm paying right now in Texas.

$788 per year for 1165 sq. ft. mid-century flat ranch in northeastern Ohio worth around $100,000.  Deductible is $1,000 if I remember right.  USAA.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
