Title: How much is enough?
Post by: malacca on June 28, 2014, 08:18:33 PM
I have been FI since I turned 40.

BUT I wonder about the future. Will I need more? Health care costs? Kid's college? COL goes up dramatically? Global warming? Growing Chinese middle class inflate everything?

I have some very good real estate and some investments that pay well. Not much in securities at this point as RE has been too good.

500K, 1MM, 2MM.

I can go back to work and make decent dough. Or start a company.

How much is enough?

You have a finite number of years left.  Would you rather enjoy  them or trade them for money?

That is the question! If worrying makes you unable to enjoy them, maybe work more or learn how to not worry :)
