I don't get OT in my job, as I am the ED. I guess I could claim lieu time, that is, if I really had to work more than my 35 hours a week, which is not even remotely possible :)
But since I work here by myself (3 weeks in Yellowknife, 2 weeks back home in Calgary with the family), I have plenty of time to get in trouble in this little northern town, so I got myself a casual job on a weekend and sometimes in the evening as a residential support worker, assisting people with developmental disabilities in their daily lives, making $25 an hour just to hang out with them, go to the coffee shop, grocery shopping, etc., basically things that I would otherwise do in my free time. I started this gig last November, and so far, I average about $1,000 a month of extra income.
