Title: How does MMM monetize the website
Post by: dinkhelpneeded on February 10, 2016, 09:30:13 AM
Maybe this has been asked before, but the recent post on taxes made me curious as to how the site is monetized. I know the recommendations section is one - is that all?

Anyone?

Mostly affiliate links from his recommendations. I imagine that he gets paid a fee to write recommendations for some of the products, although I don't know that for sure. Plus the forum ads.

Also ad revenue (see the bottom of pages, unless you have some ad-blocking software).

Ads at the bottom of the page. He gets money when the ads are clicked on or viewed. Also affiliates like Betterment and Republic Wireless. He probably does pretty well for himself. Michelle of Making Sense of Scents posts her income from her blog and she made over $300K last year. So I would say MMM makes more than that considering his blog probably gets more traffic.
