How do you use your NetSpend account?
« on: February 03, 2016, 01:50:43 PM »
The 5% interest is obviously the attraction, however withdrawing via all available means appears to have a cost associated with it.

So I'm wondering how you use the account and minimise costs?

Why would there be any costs to withdraw? Just ACH out the way you ACH'd it in.

Every other month I do an automated $5 ACH transfer to each of my NetSpend accounts, so there are no fees.

On the NetSpend website I dont see an option to ACH out - Could you point me to it?

Have a look at this post  http://www.doctorofcredit.com/netspend-5-savings-accounts-on-up-to-5000/
on the doctorofcredit blog - he details it all in the fine print, plus in the comments you can read up on which ACH pull worked for others. Looks like not all banks play nice with prepaid accounts.
