Great question. You don't close an account, you deactivate it instead.

Edit for more information. Click the accounts button on the top of the page. Select your account, expand it. You will see Name, Status, Type. Change Status from Active to Closed. Voila!

I made the mistake of deleting one, now the charts are all f'd up :( Good thing I have all the information in Quicken too. I e-mailed Mint's customer support. Once you delete an account you cannot get the data back.
