I try to ration myself to one hour of Internet usage per day for "business" things like household case management, checking my two email accounts, checking the headlines quickly, and checking and perhaps posting in the two forums that I participate in. (One is MMM, of course.) I want to do several other things daily in the real world: mostly involving reading, writing, playing harp and piano, getting a substantial amount of outdoor exercise, and completing a fairly major house de-clutter. Do other Mustachians think an hour of Internet time daily should be enough…or does it sound like I should give myself more time? What tricks do you use to get yourself off the Net and keep yourself off the Net? I find that a few minutes of checking a quick fact like "How to Exterminate Yellow Jackets" or some such thing can lead to a wasted couple of hours reading up on everything under the sun. Do other people do this or am I the only one? And again, how do you get tough with yourself and get off the computer to do real-world stuff? I do not want to get lazy and let a situation expand into a problem.
